Endoscopic Vaporesection of the Prostate Using the Continuous-Wave 2-m Thulium Laser: Outcome and Demonstration of the Surgical Technique
Volume 55, issue 2, pages 261-532 The thulium-doped yttrium aluminium garnet (Tm:YAG) laser seems to be a suitable tool for the endoscopic treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). The vaporesection technique has a low complication rate, offers excellent haemostasis, provides adequate tissue for histologic diagnosis, and has promising functional results.
